The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team enjoyed a banner day Sunday to conclude the three-day United States Tennis Association/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Midwest Regional Championships at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
 
Sophomore Megan Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) won the singles draw for the second year in a row, while freshmen Alicia Beck (Bismarck, ND/St. Mary's Central) and Bridgid McGuire (Slinger/Slinger) teamed up to take the doubles flight and give the Warhawks a sweep of first place in both singles and doubles.
 
All three earned All-America honors and a trip to the ITA Small College National Championships next month by virtue of their victories. The championship tournament will take place Oct. 9-12 in Sumter, S.C.
 
Humphreys didn't drop a set en route to the title. She started Sunday with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Gustavus Adolphus' Laurel Krebsbach, the downed Bridgit Bellissimo of UW-La Crosse 6-2, 6-0 in the championship match.
 
Beck and McGuire defeated Krebsbach and Michaela Schulz of Gustavus Adolphus by an 8-6 margin in the semifinals to set up an all UW-Whitewater doubles final against Humphreys and sophomore Amy Upthagrove (Muskego/Muskego), who knocked off Kylie Ketcho and Mikinzee Salo of St. Catherine in the other semifinal.
 
In the final, Beck and McGuire posted a 6-3, 6-3 win over Humphreys and Upthagrove to join Humphreys on the All-America platform.
 
In other ITA action, junior captain Ashley Miller (Racine/Union Grove) and freshman Jillian Wallace (Crystal Lake, IL/Central) reached the consolation doubles final, but fell just shy with a narrow 8-6 setback.
 
Several players also competed Friday and Saturday at the Gustie Fall Invite.
