The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater won the WIAC Final Four Tournament, defeating UW-Oshkosh 5-0 in a semifinal and UW-Eau Claire 9-0 in the title match Saturday on UW-W's Wangerin Courts, earning UW-W its sixth consecutive  Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship Tournament.  UW-W, 20-8 and ranked twenty-sixth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national poll, extended its winning streak to 48 consecutive wins in WIAC dual meets.  UW-W has won sixth straight WIAC titles.

Whitewater earned the number one seed in the final four by capturing its sixth consecutive WIAC championship last October.  The league plays for the NCAA berth in the spring so the most representative team will advance.  The NCAA Division III team championship will be May 20-22 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  UW-W advanced to the sweet sixteen last year.
