Women Top NAIA's #11 Team

The Warhawk women's tennis team, ranked eighteenth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III poll, defeated Vanguard University, the number eleven team in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics poll, 8-1 Tuesday in Claremont, California.

UW-Whitewater is 12-6 in dual matches, Vanguard is 7-13.

UW-W will play eighth ranked DePauw University in California Thursday to wrap up the Warhawks' trip.  DePauw defeated Whitewater 8-1 March 2 in Greencastle, Indiana.  After returning home, Whitewater's next competition will be the Midwest Invitational in Madison April 5-6, bringing the top Division III teams in the upper Midwest to Madison.  UW-W's next home matches will be April 23, when Carthage College will be the 3:30 opponent and Carroll University the 6:30 opposition on the Wangerin Courts south of Williams Center on campus.
