Women's Tennis Falls to Badgers

The UW-Whitewater women's tennis team fell to Division I UW-Madison 7-0 in Madison, Wisconsin Saturday afternoon. The loss marks just the second of the season for the Warhawk women with the other coming at the hands of another DI opponent in UW-Milwaukee.

#4 Nova Patel (UWM) defeated Alexandra Bayliss (Sheboygan/North) (WW) 6-0, 6-2
#5 Aleksandra Markovich (UWM) defeated Megan Kasten (Verona/Verona) (WW) 6-1, 6-3
#6 Angela Chupa (UWM) defeated Lauren Aguilar (Gurnee, IL/Carmel Catholic ) (WW) 6-0, 6-0

Doubles
#1 Trgovich/Berner (UWM) defeated Schaefer/Bayliss (WW) 8-4
#2 Chupa/Markovich (UWM) defeated Divelbiss/Smith (WW) 8-3
#3 Carolina Bauer/Lauren Gruber (UWM) defeated Kasten/ Jackie Vitale (Roselle, IL/Lake Park) (WW) 8-0

UW-W is now 11-2 this season.

The Warhawks will travel to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for the annual spring trip with matches scheduled March 23, 27 and 29.
