Pete Schroeder (Ripon/Ripon) and
Ben Stringer (Assumption, IL/Central A&M) have been named UW-Whitewater men's track and field athletes of the week for their success this past weekend at the Ted Haydon Invitational in Chicago, IL.
Schroeder, a sophomore from Ripon, won the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.08. Schroeder's time of 55.08 is the teams best.
Stringer, a junior from Assumption, IL, won the hammer throw with a mark of 52.98m and placed 2nd in the discus throw with a throw of 47.15m. Both events earned Stringer a provisional qualifying mark.
UW-Whitewater will return home and host the Rex Foster Open on Thursday, April 8.
