Josh Ireland has been hired to take over the head women's track and field coaching position, at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Kathleen Folbrecht and Adam Dunn join the Warhawk men's track and field coaching staff as assistant coaches for the 2010-11 season.

Saturday, May 29 Update   UW-Whitewater's Shaun Davis earned All-America honors with a fourth place finish in the discus Saturday, the final day of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.  Davis, who finished second in the discus at the 2009 meet, threw the disc 169-5.  Davis finished ninth in the hammer throw on the opening day of the 2010 championship.  UW-W teammate Ben Stringer also competed in the discus, but did not advance to the finals with his best of 161-6.  Sean Larson of UW-Stout won the discus with a mark of 174-10.  UW-W also had two competitors in the high jump.  Luke Buchholz placed ninth with a height of 6-8 and Tom Fisher finished twelfth at 6-6.  Buchholz had the same height as the eighth place finisher, but his place was determined by number of misses.  Tyler Hannan of Monmouth College took first in the high jump at 6-11.5.

The UW-Whitewater men's track and field team finished third at the 2010 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship in River Falls on Saturday.  The team was in fourth after Friday's events but used sixteen top eight finishes on Saturday to climb to the third spot.
