Kehoe and Stringer named Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week

Aron Kehoe and Ben Stringer have been named UW-W track and field athletes of the week for their performances at the Squig Converse Invitational.
Junior Aron Kehoe won the 800 meter run in a time of 1:52.62. His time meets the NCAA automatic qualifing standard as well as breaking a 21 year old school record of 1:52.70 which was held by Steve Melzer since 1988. Kehoe's time is the second fastest in the country to date this year.
Junior Ben Stringer won the 35 lb weight throw with a NCAA provisional qualifing distance of 17.71 meters. This bests his previous provisional mark of 16.80 meters. His throw is currently the seventh best in the country to date.
The warhawks will travel to Monmouth, IL on February 13th to compete in the Fighting Scots Invitational.
