UW-Whitewater junior outside hitter
Caitlin Hogan has been named to the
American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III All-America Second Team.
Hogan was one of fourteen players named to the second team. The AVCA honored players with a first, second, and third team as well as a list of honorable mention selections.
Hogan was also a First Team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference pick. She averaged 2.73 kills per game, 0.78 blocks, and a team high 0.48 service aces. She also had a .261 hitting percentage. Hogan led the Warhawks to a 31-7 record, including the WIAC Tournament championship. UW-W also earned its eighteenth consecutive National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III championship tournament berth.
UW-W has had at least one player earn All-America honors in eighteen of the last twenty-two years. The most recent, in 2007, were Carley Polk and Kate Lazotte, first and second team respectively by the AVCA, and Abby Schultz, a College Sports Information Directors of America Third Team Academic All-American.
