UW-Whitewater swept UW-Platteville 3-0 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal match in Oshkosh, Wisconsin Friday night. The game scores were 25-12, 25-15, and 25-12. UW-W will face the winner of Friday night's other semifinal, matching host UW-Oshkosh and UW-Eau Claire, for the tournament championship Saturday at 2:30 at Kolf Fieldhouse in Oshkosh.

The Warhawks had three 4-0 runs in game one, while the Pioneers scored back-to-back points just once. UW-W opened game two with another 4-0 streak, which they matched three more times to win game two. Game three was tied 2-2, and UW-W led just 7-6 and 11-10, but outscored UW-P 14-2 the rest of the way.
Whitewater's
Keri Klotzbuecher had ten kills and sixteen digs, both match highs.
Caitlin Hogan and
Katy Krajnak had seven and six assisted blocks, respectively, and
Melissa Zuleger had one solo and four assisted. Krajnak hit .444 and Klotzbuecher .391.
UW-W sophomore
Alyssa Bauer contributed 14 digs to move in to third place on the UW-W career record list with 667. Stephanie Everett (1997) and Angie Wildish (2001) share the top spot with 686 career digs. Bauer has recorded double figure digs in 34 of UW-W's 36 matches this season.
The Warhawks had four solo blocks and 20 assisted blocks, compared to five assisted for Oshkosh. UW-W hit .289 in the match and Oshkosh a negative .008.
The Warhawks also won the regular season matchup with the Pioneers, 3-1 October 6 in Whitewater.
UW-W, ranked seventh in the latest
American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III poll, are 30-6. UW-Oshkosh, the number one seed and ranked number one in the AVCA poll is 34-1 and UW-Eau Claire, ranked eighteenth, is 29-6. Whitewater split with both teams this season. Whitewater lost to Eau Claire 3-1 September 1 in Stevens Point, then won 3-0 October 16 in Whitewater. The Warhawks lost to Oshkosh 3-1 in Oshkosh September 23, but turned the tables 3-1 October 23 in Whitewater. The winner of the WIAC Tournament receives the league's automatic berth in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III championship tournament.
