The UW-Whitewater volleyball team, ranked sixth according to the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, improved their win streak to 11 with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-17) win over Millikin University in the first match of the UW-Whitewater Invitational Friday.

Box Score

The Warhawk hitters pounded their way to a 25-15 first set win with 14 kills. Whitewater servers paved the way for an easy 25-14 set two win with seven service aces including four from Sofia Sanchez, two by Shaela Hayden and Caitlin Hogan added one of her own. The Big Blue were able to keep it close at the beginning of set three but the hard-hitting Warhawks proved to be too much for them to handle as UW-W took set three 25-17 and the match.

Sanchez led the team in both kills and service aces with eleven and four respectively. Alyssa Bauer led the Warhawks in digs with a total of eleven.
