We have nothing but love and respect for our seniors and all the time they have put into UWW volleyball. We want to thank them for all thier commitment, leadership and friendship. Thank you!!
We would also like to thank the whitewater band, girls basketball team, parents and fans who made the trip to Bloomington to support us. The national Championship game was a priceless moment for us all and to share that with so many supporters makes the experience that much more unforgettable.
Finally, thanks to our coaches for pushing us to reach such a great goal and most importantly for allowing us to show off our dance skills on the court.

Third times a charm!!! We were victorious against our match with Juniata. The day started with a practice of serve receive followed by a tasty lunch at Panera Bread. We got to the gym early for treatments while the rest of us did our pre-game ritual of Catch Phrase. During warm-ups we entertain the crowd with the Banana Scramble dance. It's a personal favorite of Kyle Annen, Kelly "the Cheertator" Annen's younger brother. It proved itself as an intimidation factor as the Warhawks went on to dominate the match in three games. We face Washington University of St. Louis for the National Title tomorrow night! We are hoping for a lot of Warhawk fans to come cheer us on!

Today we had our game against Puget Sound and we won in three games, so we are in the Final Four!! The Whitewater pep band came and cheered us on along with a lot of our family and friends.... thanks! For lunch we got to go in the hospitality room, where they had subs and all kinds of snacks. They also have a bunch of computers with the internet and a big screen tv with couches to keep us busy. They even had an Xbox to play video games! We stuck around to do a little scouting of the competition before heading to Biaggi's for dinner. We are now back at the hotel and ready for bed. We play tomorrow at 4:30 against Juniata! We started off our day with a 10:00 am practice in the gym, which went pretty well. At the end of the practice we received free gifts which were contained in a new volleyball backpack. After practice we went to lunch at Chilis then we went to a school to read to children and talk to them about sports and education. We then returned to the hotel to either shop or relax in our hotel. We then left for our banquet to celebrate making it to the elite 8. At the banquet there was a lot of food which we were not shy to dig in to. Some awards were given out, including our two All-Americans Kate Lazotte and Carlene Polk. After the banquet we then returned to the hotel to have a night of relaxation.

We finished our last day of classes for the week and had to make final arrangements with our professors. Today we arrived in Normal, Illinois at the Hampton Inn. Scotty (the best bus driver ever) only got us lost once. This hotel is a lot nicer than the last one we were in. It has flat screen TVs, comfy beds, and continental breakfast! Tonight some of us are studying and hanging out and getting ready for tomorrow's practice. |

Celebratory thoughts continue as we look back on the excitement of this past weekend, but preparation begins for the week ahead. Prior to leaving, our teachers must be notified, we need to play catch up from missing 3 days of class last week and look forward to another shortened week of classes. Each player has an abundance of test make-ups, daily work and papers to weave into the events of our exciting trip to nationals. We leave Tuesday after one last practice in our own arena!
