Outdoor Sport Complex Campaign and Women's Sports Fund
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is in the midst of a $7.5 million project to upgrade its outdoor sports facilities.  The project, which began in 2004, has included a new outdoor track and field facility (Rex Foster Track) that combines with a new soccer field (Fiskum Field), renovations to Perkins Stadium, Prucha Field upgrades for baseball, and a new diamond and supporting areas for the softball team at van Steenderen Field.

That project is just a few steps away from completion and we need your help. How? Alumni, fans and friends can buy a brick, tile or capstone which will be displayed at the venue of their choice. Payment for the recognition can be spread over five years.

What are the final steps? We need additional funding to construct a venue support building for van Steenderen softball field. We are adding synthetic turf and a sound system for baseball at Prucha Field this summer (2009), and we are planning a multi-purpose building with restrooms and concessions that will serve several of the venues.

The new, and renovated, outdoor facilities will join an impressive array of facilities made possible by the generosity of UW-W students, the state of Wisconsin and UW System, and individual donors. Perkins Stadium, opened in 1970, remains a jewel among Division III football facilities. Along with the building of the Kachel Fieldhouse in 2001, Williams Center was renovated, giving UW-W's sports outstanding competitive arenas, practice facilities and support areas. More recently, the Williams Center tennis courts were rebuilt, and the Student Athletic Center was constructed east of the stadium.
