Warhawks Fall to DePauw at Midwest Invite

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team lost to DePauw University 9-0 on Friday, April 4 at the Midwest Invitational in Madison, Wis.  This marks the second time in the last eight days DePauw has defeated the Warhawks.  UW-W lost 8-1 on March 27 in a match played in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The Tigers are currently ranked fifth in the Nation and first in the Central Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.  The Warhawks are ranked ninth in the region. DePauw currently has three singles players and three doubles teams ranked in the Central Region.

The loss drops the Warhawks to 16-6 and the Tigers improve to 13-2.

The Warhawks will move into the consolation draw of the Midwest Inviational on April 5 and face the University of Chicago at 9:00 am.  The Warhawks faced Chicago on March 24, falling 3-6.
