Warhawks Edge Calvin 5-4

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team defeated Calvin College 5-4 Friday, April 4 at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wis.  The Warhawks advance to play the top seeded team in the tournament, DePauw University, at 1:00 pm on Friday.  The Warhawks faced DePauw eight days ago losing 8-1 in a match played in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Freshman Lauren Fahl's opponent, Kaitlin Spoelhof is ranked seventeenth in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Rankings.  Fahl teamed with senior Tiffany Dawson to knock off the Central Region's twelfth ranked doubles team.

With her wins Fahl became the first Warhawk to hit the 20 win mark in singles and leads the team with 16 wins in doubles this season.

The Warhawks improve to 16-5 on the season and the Knights fall to 9-3.

The Warhawks will continue play at the Midwest Invitational at both 9:00 am and 2:30 pm tomorrow.  The Warhawks next play at home on April 19 when they host Olivet Nazarene and Carthage College.
