The No. 11 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team opened its 2015-16 campaign Thursday night with a 43-0 setback at Division I Wisconsin in a dual match at UW Field House in Madison.
The Warhawks (0-1) forced four matches to decision against the Badgers, who were also competing in their season opener.

Matt Adcock (Bloomingdale, Ill./Lake Park),
Tom Gerszewski (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South), sophomore
Connor Price (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and freshman
Brandon Arteaga (Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich) were each defeated by decision.
At 141 pounds, Adcock tied his match at 2-2 in the second period and was outlasted in overtime. Price also tied his contest at 2-2 in the second at 174, but surrendered the lead for good on a reversal in the same period.
UW-Whitewater continues action this Saturday at the Luther Open. Competition is set to begin at 9 a.m. in Decorah, Iowa.
