WINONA, Minn. - The two-time defending National Champion Warhawk gymnasts finished first of three Friday night at McCown Gymnasium at Winona State University. UW-W topped UW-Stout and Winona State, in that order. UW-W finished with a team total of 183.550, Stout with 178.575, and Winona with 177.925.

UW-W nabbed the top four spots on bars with
Allyse Dieringer (Germantown, WI/Germantown) leading the way with a 9.525.
McKenzie Foster (Manitou Beach, MI/Addison) finished second in the event with a 9.450,
Courtney Pickett (Brentwood, TN/Brentwood) third with a 9.350, and
Megan Love (Henrico, VA/Godwin) fourth with a 9.225.
Foster added a first place finish on the floor with a 9.450 while teammate
Cici Talcott (Kentwood, MI/East Kentwood) finished third in the event with a 9.300.
Foster also was the top all-arounder with a total of 37.425 in the four events. To go with her first place finish on the floor and her second place finish on the bars, she added a second place finish on beam (9.440) and a tenth place finish on vault (9.125).
Pickett led the way for the Warhawks on the vault finishing second with a 9.425 and
Hannah Lee (Clarksville, TN/Clarksville) was just behind her in third with a 9.400. Lee added another third place finish on the beam (9.300).
UW-W's best event was the bars where they finished with a team total of 46.475, tied for the eighth best score in school history.
UW-W will head to St. Paul, Minnesota on Sunday for another tri with two other WIAC schools. Hamline University will host the Warhawks and Gustavus Adolphus in a meet beginning at 1 pm at Walker Fieldhouse.
The Warhawks will host UW-Stout January 25 in their first home meet of the season. Competition begins at 4 pm.
