The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team finished their spring break trip to Claremont, California with a 7-2 loss to Middlebury College Thursday. Middlebury, ranked ninth in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, remains unbeaten this season, and the Warhawks, ranked 29th, fall to 7-11.

Ben Shklyar (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield), ranked fourth in the Central Region by the ITA, was a part of both wins for the Warhawks. He defeated Spencer Lunghino 6-3, 6-2 at number one singles to improve to 11-7 this season. Shklyar paired with
Mitch Osborne (Crystal Lake, IL/Central) to take down Alex Johnston and Lunghino 8-3 at one doubles. Shklyar and Osborne are ranked fourth in the Central Region by the ITA and Johnston and Lunghino are ranked 16th in the Northeast Region.
The Warhawks will hitch a plane home and compete in their next matches on April 6. The Warhawks will host the University of Chicago at 10 am and Carroll University at 4 pm at the Wangerin Courts on the campus of UW-Whitewater.
