Men's Tennis Downed by #3 Williams

The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team, ranked twenty-ninth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national poll, was defeated by third-ranked Williams College 9-0 Sunday in Claremont, California.

UW-Whitewater is 6-9 this season, with five losses to nationally ranked Division III opponents and four to Division I schools.  Williams College is 7-1.

UW-W will played unranked Willamette University Tuesday morning in Claremont, followed by an afternoon match against number twenty-two Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.  The Warhawks will wrap up the spring trip with a match versus fourteenth-ranked Middlebury College Thursday.  Whitewater will return home to host #20 University of Chicago at 10:00 April 6, followed by a 4:00 match against Carroll University.  Those matches, weather permitting, will be played on the Wangerin Courts south of Williams Center.
