Talcott earned the sixth individual national championship in school history.  She joins Nicole Hoida (balance beam 2000), Justine Weyer (vault 2008 and 2010), Ashley George (uneven bars 2009), and Allyse Dieringer (Germantown, WI/Germantown) (uneven bars, 2012).

Talcott won the event with a score of 9.725, while leading a Whitewater sweep.  UW-W teammate Annie Mix (Olive Branch, MS/SBEC) placed second at 9.675.  Whitewater's Thompson was one of three competitors tying for third place at 9.625.

Thompson, who finished second in the all-around competition Friday, closes her career with twelve All-America honors, surpassing Justine Weyer's (2009-2010) school mark of nine.  Thompson was chosen as the NCGA Outstanding Senior Award recipient and was named North Central Region Gymnast of the Year.

The NCGA considers the top ten all-around finishers, and top twelve in each of the four specialties, as All-Americans.

Thompson and Talcott were among four Warhawks to earn All-America honors in two events.  Talcott also took ninth place in the vault.  Other double honorees included Siri Wischmann (Delano, MN/Delano), third in the vault and twelfth on the balance beam; and Mary Kate Young (Lawrenceville, GA/Cullins Hill), third in the floor exercise and tenth on the balance beam.

UW-Whitewater's Delina Phillips (Capac, MI/) tied for third in the vault, and Warhawk Allyse Dieringer (Germantown, WI/Germantown) finished eighth in the floor exercise.

Wischmann, Thompson, Mix, Young and Morgan Hadley (LaGrange, IL/Lyons Township) earned NCGA All-Americans in Academics Awards.

UW-Whitewater won the NCGA team championship Friday night in the first night of competition.
