The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team swept UW-Oshkosh 9-0 and defeated Wheaton College (IL) 8-1 Friday at the Four Lakes Athletic Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  The victories come after UW-W, ranked twenty-ninth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association preseason poll, started the season with five losses, four of them coming at the hands of Division I opponents and the fifth to the number two team in Division III, Kenyon College. 

UW-W opened play Friday against UW-Oshkosh.  The Warhawks won eight of the nine flights in straight sets, not allowing a single game in four of the sixteen sets in the match.
