The UW-Whitewater gymnastics team beat UW-Oshkosh 176.700-174.425 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin Saturday afternoon.

The Warhawks used team wins in three out of four events to top the Titans. Siri Wischmann (Delano, MN/Delano) and Katie Thompson (Kingsport, TN/Sullivan South) tied for the top spot on the vault, each scoring a 9.375 to lead UW-W to a 45.925 team total in the event. Cici Talcott (Kentwood, MI/) was the top finisher on the bars for UW-W, recording a 9.150 for second as Whitewater's five scores totaled 42.800. The Titans had the upper hand on the beam but Katrin Finch (Boise, ID/Boise) captured third place in the event with a 8.950. Talcott and Wischmann held the two top scores in the floor exercise with scores of 9.425 and 9.300 respectively, to lead UW-W to a 45.575 team total.

Kaitlyn Weber (Kansas City, MO/Oak Park) won the all-around competition recording a 35.250. Talcott captured second place in the all-around competition with a 35.200.

The Warhawks will host UW-La Crosse Saturday, January 21 at 4:00 pm in Williams Center in Whitewater.
