UW-Whitewater, the top ranked Division III gymnastics team, upped its record to 6-0 with a 183.25-179.5 win over Winona State University in a meet held Friday, February 18 at the Frontier Airlines Center as part of the Hal's Harley Davidson Midwest Twisters gathering.

Siri Wischmann (Delano, MN/Delano)'s 9.4 took the top spot on the vault and led Whitewater to a 46.475-42.00 lead after the first rotation. Wischmann led a 1-2-3-4 sweep, with teammates
Katie Thompson (Kingsport, TN/Sullivan South) second with a 9.35,
Kaitlyn Weber (Kansas City, MO/Oak Park) 9.30 in third, and
Katrin Finch (Boise, ID/Boise) fourth at 9.275.
The Warhawks went 1-2-3 on the uneven bars, with Alysse Dieringer earning the top score of 9.475. She was followed by Thompson at 9.35 and
Annie Mix (Olive Branch, MS/SBEC), 9.225.
UW-W also grabbed the top two places in the floor exercise. Wischmann won her second event, 9.375, and
Kaitlyn Weber (Kansas City, MO/Oak Park) was second at 9.375.
Winona held the upper hand on the balance beam, with Lori Crow, 9.425, and Katie Gregory, 9.40, taking the first two places. Finch led Whitewater with a 9.30 in third place.
UW-W led 136.775-133.875 heading in to the final rotation.
The Warhawks' floor exercise team totaled 46.475 points, good for thirteenth place in the school record book. That group was made up of Wischmann, Weber,
Mary Kate Young (Lawrenceville, GA/Cullins Hill),
Leah Applin (Brooklyn Park, MN/Champlin Park), and Thompson.
Whitewater's team score was just 0.425 points, less than half a point, below their Division III leading season average of 183.675.
UW-W's next competition will be Saturday, March 5 at 2:00 when UW-Oshkosh visits Williams Center on the UW-W campus.
