The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team opened the 2011-2012 season with a 43-3 win over UW-Eau Claire Friday afternoon in a match at the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association meeting at the KI Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Fredrickson and Dickerson finished second in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament last year, and both qualified for the NCAA III championship.
The Warhawks' next competition will be in Madison November 13, with competition beginning at 10:00. UW-Madison will host a meet that includes Northern Illinois University and Loras College. UW-W's first home action of the year will be November 17, when defending WIAC champion UW-La Crosse visits Williams Center for a 7:30 match.
