The 2011 NCBWA/d3baseball.com preseason poll has just recently came out, and the Warhawks baseball team comes in as the fifth ranked team in the nation. The Warhawks finished last season with a record of 42-7 and made it to the NCAA Division III baseball tournament regional final.

The team will begin the season on March 4-5 in Omaha, Nebraska against opponents yet to be determined.  The Warhawks were originally scheduled to open in the Metrodomein in Minneapolis, but the facility damage has forced a change in schedule. The first home games of the season will be played April 2 at 1 pm and April 3 at 12 pm against UW-Superior.  All home games are played at Prucha Field in Jim Miller Stadium on the north end of the UW-W campus.
