Warhawk senior
Chelsea Davis (Greendale/Greendale) was named to the
National Golf Coaches Association Division III Central Region Team. Ten players were accorded the honor from an area that included Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri.
Davis led UW-Whitewater with an 81.8 stroke average. She was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week in late September, and she finished fifth in the WIAC championship last fall. At the WIAC meet she shot a 245, Whitewater's top three day total of the season and the fifth best 54-hole score in the school record book.
Davis recorded the lowest eighteen hole score for Whitewater this year, a 75 at the Whitewater Invitational September 25. That score is tied for the second lowest round ever by a UW-W golfer. She recorded four of the top five scores, and six of the top eight, on the team this year. Davis also had the lowest round of 36 this year, a 158 at the Eau Claire Spring Invitational May 2. She owns four of the top six 36 hole scores this year, and the 158 is tied for twelfth in the school's record book.
