The Warhawk women's track and field team took top honors at the Rex Foster Open on Friday in Whitewater. The Warhawks scored 417 points, their highest thus far this outdoor season, to lead the three team field. In second was UW-Parkside (95), and third was UW-Madison (57).

Highlights of the meet included 16 season bests and victories in 14 events. Garnering top honors in their events were
Brooke Bell (Milwaukee/Alexander Hamilton) in the 100m (12.44) and 200m (27.04),
Ryanne Bell (Boscobel/Boscobel) in the 400m (1:00.74) and the pole vault (3.04m/10-00),
Katie McCabe (Random Lake/Random Lake) in the 10000m (39:59.07),
Shelby Demos (Janesville/Parker) in the 100m hurdles (16.04),
Wendy Wise (Verona/Verona) in the 3000m steeplechase (12:19.27), the 4x100m relay team of
Kristen Heitsman (Janesville/Parker),
Amy Gasser (Tomah/Tomah),
Katherine Timm (Brodhead/Brodhead) and

The Warhawks had an athlete earn points in every event.
The women will compete again on April 17 at the Benedictine Eagle Invite in Lisle, Illinois.
