Freshman outfielder, Shauna Binsfeld (Cedarburg/Grafton), and junior pitcher, Jessica Stang (Minnetonka, MN/Minnetonka), were named this week's UW-Whitewater and WIAC Softball Players of the Week for their performances in the double-header sweep of University of Dubuque on Thursday.

Binsfield earned her honors by batting 1.000 (4-4) in the sweep along with two walks. Two of her hits were home runs. In the two games this week, Binsfield totaled three runs batted in and scored three runs herself.

Stang earned her honors for pitching a no-hitter in the first game of the double-header. She pitched five innings, striking out eight batters, while walking only three, and allowing only one ball to leave the infield.

The Warhawks next game is Monday, April 26, when they will travel to UW-La Crosse. The next home game for the 'Hawks is Thursday, April 19, when they will host a double-header versus Lawrence University beginning at 3:00 pm.
