Hendrickson, Bundy First Team All-WIAC ... Carollo Coach of the Year

UW-Whitewater's senior guard trio of Kelsey Hendrickson (Monroe/Monroe), Nicole Bundy (Fredonia/Ozaukee) and Heidi Sonntag (Milwaukee/Wisconsin Lutheran) received postseason honors from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and coach Keri Carollo was named Coach of the Year as UW-W won the WIAC championship.

All-WIAC Team

Hendrickson, UW-W's senior point guard, doubled up, garnering First Team All-WIAC recognition as well as being named to the five member WIAC All-Defensive Team.   Hendrickson was a first team all-conference pick the last three years.  This season she led the WIAC in steals (3.8/game), was second in assists (3.6), sixth in scoring (14.0) and sixth in free throw percentage (.796).

Hendrickson who set a school season record with 102 steals this year, is among the top ten in the UW-W record book in eleven categories.  Among the most notable is second place in steals (239), tenth in assists (251), and sixteenth in scoring (1,082).

Bundy was also a First Team All-WIAC pick.  She was fifth in scoring (15.0), fifth in three point percentage (3.82), and seventh in free throw percentage (.795).  Her 60 three's made this season is third in the school record book, and her total of 406 points is eleventh best.  Her career marks include fifth in three point field goals made (140), eighth in three point percentage (.347), and seventh in free throw accuracy (.791).

Sonntag was chosen as UW-W's representative on the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.  The next game she plays, Whitewater's first round in the NCAA III playoff Friday, will give her more games in a Warhawk uniform than any other player in school history (113).

Carollo guided the Warhawks to the league title, a 20-7 mark overall and a berth in the NCAA III tournament.  In her eighth season, she has compiled 137 wins and a .631 winning percentage.  In 2008 she was named Division III Coach of the Year by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association after leading UW-W to third place in the NCAA III final four.

Carollo is the third UW-W basketball coach to earn the WIAC honor.  Julia Yeater was the recipient in 1999, and Dianne Jones earned the honor in 1981 and 1986.
