Hendrickson Earns All-Region and All-America Honors

Kelsey Hendrickson (Monroe/Monroe) was named to the D3hoops.com All-Central Region first team and honorable mention All-America.  Hendrickson is the third Warhawk to be recognized as an All-American by D3hoops.com, following in the footsteps of Vanessa Rieder (2000-third team) and Tiffany Morton (Beloit/Memorial) (2008-fourth team and 2009-honorable mention).

Hendrickson played for the Warhawks for three seasons beginning in 2007.  She transferred from UW-Madison and was forced to sit out her first season in school (2006-07).  In three seasons she played in 90 games, starting all but one.  Hendrickson accumulated 1,108 points and was the ninth player in school history to reach the 1,000 point mark.

During her tenure, Hendrickson shot 42.3 percent from the field including 36.9 from the three point line.  She nailed 77.6 percent of her free throws and averaged 2.72 steals a game.  She is UW-Whitewater's leader for steals in a season (108), which she accomplished her senior season.

Kelsey was named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference first team three times and named to the All-Defensive team once.  During her time with the team the Warhawks won two WIAC titles (2008, 2010) and qualified for the NCAA Division III tournament every year, including a trip to the final four in 2008.
