Kelsey Hendrickson (Monroe/Monroe), senior guard from Monroe, was named UW-Whitewater and the WIAC player of the week. Hendrickson scored 17 points during the February 10 game against Platteville along with 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. She also converted all eight of her free throw attempts. The game was won with a final score of 88-77.
Hendrickson then surpassed the 1,000-point maker for her career during the February 13 game and broke the school single-season record for steals. During the game she scored a total of 20 points, including 12 out of 13 from the free throw stripe. In addition she grabbed 8 rebounds, had 3 assists and had 3 steals during the game. UW-Eau Claire was beat 62-54.
The next game will be played at home on Wednesday, February 17 against UW-Oshkosh with tip off at 7:00 pm. The following game will be played at home as well and is scheduled for Saturday, February 20 against UW-Superior with tip off at 1:00pm.
