Gymnastics Remains In Second

The UW-Whitewater gymnastics team remained in second place in the February 15 GymInfo Division III Rankings. UW-W has an average score of 182.604 this season through six matches. UW-W also has nine gymnists in the top ten in the individual events. 

On vault, senior Justin Weyer (Colgate/Germantown), is ranked third with an average of 9.433 this season. On the uneven bars, freshman Annie Mix (Olive Branch, MS/SBEC), is ranked second with an average of 9.492 and Weyer is ranked tenth with an average of 9.170. On the balance beam Weyer is again ranked third with an average of 9.360. In the floor exercise, freshman Mary Kate Young (Lawrenceville, GA/Cullins Hill), and Weyer are tied for tenth with an average of 9.388. For the all-around, freshman Katie Thompson (Kingsport, TN/Sullivan South) and Weyer are ranked fourth and fifth with averages of 37.125 and 37.063 respectively.

UW-Whitewater will compete next at UW-Oshkosh on February 19, at 6 p.m. before finishing the regular season at home against Gustavus Adolphus College for Senior Night on February 27, at 2 p.m.
