Junior Allison Nelson (Naperville, IL/Neuqua Valley) and freshman Mary Kate Young (Lawrenceville, GA/Cullins Hill) have been named this week's UW-Whitewater Gymnastics Athletes of the Week through their performance in last week's meet against Winona State.

Nelson earned her athletic honors by tying for first place on vault with a score of 9.475. This was Nelson's second meet in a row where she had tied for first place on vault.

Young earned her athletic honors by placing first in all-around with a score of 37.35, a new personal best. This was her second meet in a row scoring over a 37 in all-around. To finish first in all-around, she placed first on balance beam with a score of 9.5, second on floor exercise with a 9.525, another new personal best, fifth in uneven bars with a 9.00, and sixth on vault with a 9.325.

The Warhawks' next meet is set for February 19 when they will travel to UW-Oshkosh. The 'Hawks' next home meet is scheduled for February 27, when they will host Gustavus Adolphus College for Senior Night.
