Final team standings, based on total pinfall over the two days, were Valparaiso University 7,240, Elmhurst College 7,195, Minnesota-Mankato 6,931, UW-Whitewater 6,907, and UW-Whitewater "B" 6,899. In terms of wins and losses, Valparaiso went 6-3, Elmhurst 7-2, Minnesota-Mankato 3-6, and UW-W 2-7. UW-W "B" was not figured in the match results.
In Sunday's action UW-W lost to Valparaiso 759-682 and Elmhurst 754-732, and defeated Minnesota-Mankato 740-738. All of those matches featured the baker format. In team games Sunday Elmhurst topped UW-W 904-878, Valparaiso won 950-846, and Minnesota-Mankato defeated UW-W 928-925.
Kayla Schmidt (Johnston, IA/Johnston) totaled 614 pins in her three individual games to place fourth in the field. Candace Schmidt was fifth with 589, eking out teammate
Kristina Palermo (Addison, IL /Addison), in sixth, by one pin. Krystyna Johnson of Valparaiso was the individual titlest with 665 pins, follow by Hali Clark of Minnesota-Mankato at 617 and Natalie Cortese of Valparaiso at 615 (just one pin ahead of
Kayla Schmidt (Johnston, IA/Johnston)).
The Warhawk Invitational is the final home appearance of the 2009-2010 season for the Warhawks, but the season is far from over. UW-W is off to the Hoosier Classic in Bloomington, Indiana February 20-21.
