Anton, Bell, Duncan, Luebke, Roznos named UW-Whitewater Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week

Senior Danielle Anton (Marshall/Marshall), sophomore Ryanne Bell (Boscobel/Boscobel), freshman Alyssa Duncan (East Troy/East Troy), junior Jessa Luebke (Tomah/Tomah), and sophomore Madeline Roznos (Reedsburg/Reedsburg) have all been named UW-Whitewater Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week for their performances in this past weekend's North Central College Triangular meet.

Luebke earned her honors by winning both the shot put and weight throw events at this past weekend's meet. Her best shot put throw of the meet was measured at 12.43 meters (40' 9.5"). Just nearly missing the provisional mark by seven centimeters in the weight throw event, Luebke beat all of her competitors by over one meter, measuring in at 15.43 meters (40' 9.5").

Anton, Bell, Duncan, and Roznos, all a part of the distance medley relay team, earned their honors by not only winning the event, but also posting the fastest time clocked in January in the past five years for any Warhawk Women's team with a time of 12:57.19. Bell and Duncan also helped the Warhawks by placing fifth in the 4 x 400 meter relay event with a time of 4:25.26. Not only did Bell participate in both relay events, but she also competed in the pole vault event, in which she placed third and matched her all-time best mark with a height of 3.20 meters (10' 6").

UW-Whitewater will host the Warhawk Classic this Saturday, February 6 at 12:00 pm in the Kachel Fieldhouse.
