The UW-W wrestling team knew it was stepping up when it scheduled participation in the Northwestern Duals Sunday, and the results may be indicative that the learning process is still ongoing.  Northwestern defeated Whitewater 37-6, McKendree College topped UW-W 40-10, and South Dakota State beat the Warhawks 24-13.

Whitewater is 0-4 in dual this season, 0-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  The Warhawks are ranked 21st in the preseason poll of NCAA Division III teams.  Northwestern and South Dakota State are both scholarship teams.

UW-W will travel to La Crosse to face host UW-La Crosse in the first Wthe season Wednesday, November 17.   The Warhawks' first home appearance of the season will be Tuesday, November 23 against the University of Chicago.
