The UW-Whitewater gymnastics team, ranked number one in the latest GymInfo poll defeated UW-Eau Claire 178.625-174.150 in Eau Claire Friday night.

Results

Annie Mix, for the second consecutive meet, topped the competition on the uneven bars recording a 9.45, the highest score at the meet on the bars and good enough for 25th in the UW-W record book. Justine Weyer placed second in the bars with a score of 9.25.

Weyer took top honors in the floor exercise with a 9.35 and the all-around competition with a total score of 37.025.

The Warhawks took four of the top five spots on the bars, beam and floor exercise. UW-W's team of Lauren Corrigan, Mix, Weyer, Young, and Traci Jo Korte recorded a 43.975 on the bars, Weyer, Thompson, Veronica Overby, Danielle Doll, and Siri Wischmann had a 44.5 and Weyer, Young, Thompson, Korte, and Wischmann scored a 44.975 on the floor. Whitewater's vault team of Leah Applin, Katie ThompsonMary Kate Young, Wischmann, and Weyer took four of the top six places with a team total of 45.175.

Whitewater will travel to St. Paul, MN to compete against Hamline University Sunday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m. before returning to Whitewater to take on UW-Stout February 6 at 4 p.m.
