The UW-Whitewater women's golf team capped a successful weekend with the title at the UW-Platteville Fall Invite, played at the Platteville Golf Course in Platteville, Wisconsin Saturday and Sunday.  The Warhawks began the weekend by winning their own Warhawk Invitational Friday.

Team scores were UW-W 706, UW-Stevens Point 719, UW-Platteville 722, Carroll University 754, UW-Oshkosh 796, and Clarke College 813.

Emily Kuiper led the Warhawks with a second place finish among the thirty individuals in the tourney.with rounds of 83-86=169.  Kuiper was just two strokes ahead of Chelsea Davis, who went 87-84=171 for third place.  Jessica Urban of UW-Stevens Point was the medalist at 81-79=160.

Other UW-W participants included Alexa Campanille, eleventh at 95-88=183; Melanie Helgeson, 90-95=185 in twelfth; and Lindsay Porter, tied for sixteenth with rounds of 98-93=191.

The Platteville Golf Course played 5,811 yards and a par 72.

UW-Whitewater will seek to continue its streak at the Carthage Invitational Monday (September 28) at the Bristol Oaks Country Club in Kansasville, Wisconsin.
