Chelsea Davis (Greendale/Greendale) took top medalist honors shooting a 75.  She was the only golfer to break 80 and she beat her nearest competitor by five strokes.  Davis' 75 is a season low for an individual Warhawk golfer this season and ties her for second in the school record book.  Davis is averaging an 80.3 for eighteen holes this season, a team best.

Also finishing in the top 10 for UW-W were Melanie Helgeson (St. Charles, IL/North), who shot an 83 to earn eighth place, and Emily Kuiper (Racine/Case), who carded an 85 to tie for ninth place.

Other Warhawk golfers to compete in the invitational were Melissa Ellis (Kenosha/Tremper) and Gianna Tenuta (Kenosha/Bradford) who both shot an 88 and tied for fourteenth place.

The final team results were: UW-Whitewater (331), UW-Platteville (354), Carroll University (355), UW-Oshkosh (375), and St. Norbert College (376).

UW-Stevens Point also had participants in the match but it was considered a sub-varsity event for them, therefore their team score did not count in the final team scores.

The women will golf again on Saturday in Greencastle, Indiana at Deer Creek golf course for the DePauw Small College Classic.
