The UW-Whitewater women's soccer team battled for a 3-2 win over Olivet College Sunday, September 20.

The Warhawks jumped out to a quick lead scoring their first goal just 16 seconds into the match as
Pamela Lisowe (New Holstein/New Holstein) scored her second goal of the season off of an
Emily Gerber (DeForest/DeForest) assist.
In the seventeenth minute Whitewater struck again. Gerber scored her seventh goal of the season by putting a
Kelsey Finn (Glendale/Nicolet) free kick into the net.
Olivet came back towards the end of the first half with a goal off of a penalty kick bringing them to within one.
Later in the second half, Olivet tied the game at 2-2 with a goal in the sixty-eighth minute.
Gerber came back with her second goal of the match and eighth of the season with a blast from the top of the box to put Whitewater ahead 3-2.
The Warhawk defense held Olivet to just four shots on goal as UW-W put up eight of their own. Whitewater also had the advantage on corner kicks with 11 total as they held Olivet to just two.
The win improves UW-W's mark to 4-2 as Olivet drops to 3-4-1.
The Warhawks return home with a match against Carroll University Wednesday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. under the lights at Robert W. Fiskum Field in Whitewater.
