Dave Hahn has agreed to return to UW-Whitewater as the men's and women's track and field throws coach. Hahn was previously the throws coach here at Whitewater from 2002-2008.
This last academic year, Hahn was in charge of physical education programs and facilities at Idyllwild Arts Academy in California.
During his time as a Warhawk coach, Hahn has coached thirty National Collegiate Athletic Association All-Americans, three NCAA record holders, twelve Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions, and five WIAC record holders. He has also coached seven national champions including Dan Hytinen (2007 and 2008 outdoor discus), Dana Thompson (Belleville/Belleville) (2008 outdoor discus), Ross Kapp (2006 outdoor hammer throw), and Jeremy Wendt (2004 indoor weight throw and 2003 and 2004 outdoor hammer throw).
Hahn has a Bachelor's of Science degree in elementary/middle level education from UW-Platteville and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in curriculum and instruction-coaching here at UW-Whitewater.
Hahn said, "I am excited to return to what was started in the past and help it continue growing. There is a whole new excitement about the program because of some changes and I am glad to be a part of that."
Hahn will also serve UW-Whitewater as an admissions representative.
