UW-Whitewater's Chelsea Davis has earned National Golf Coaches Association All-Central Region honors for the 2008-2009 school year.

Davis, a junior international business major, earned First Team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognition last fall.  She finished eighth in the WIAC Tournament in October.  Davis' 82.0 average for the year was the best on the team, and the 76 she carded at the Carthage Invitational September 12 was the best round by a Warhawk.  She had six of the top ten 18-hole scores on the team this year, and seven of the top 36-hole rounds.

Davis helped UW-W finish third in the WIAC Championship, and led the Warhawks to as high as seventeenth in the NGCA Division III national rankings. 

There were ten players named to the all-region team.  The Central Region includes schools in Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri.
