Lowe Earns Academic All-America Honors

UW-Whitewater senior tennis player Alex Lowe (Oswego, IL/Oswego) has earned ESPN The Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America Third Team Academic All-America honors.  Lowe graduated in May with a 3.87 cumulative grade point as a finance major.

Lowe concluded his career with more wins than any other player in UW-W men's tennis history.  Lowe, who played number one or two singles all four years, as well as number one doubles, accumulated 164 total wins.  He went 18-14 in the number one flight this year and 22-9 at flight one doubles.  Lowe played a key role in UW-W's National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Championship Tournament appearance the last two years.

Lowe is a member of the Beta Gamme Sigma honor society, Golden Key honor society, and the Financial Management Association.  He was on the Dean's List throughout his career, the Wisconsin intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll three years (2009 has not been announced), and the W-Club Student Athlete Academic Achievement Award list three times (2009 pending).  He was an ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA all-district pick in both 2007 and 2009.
