Warhawks Tie for Third, Davis Third Individually

The women's golf team finished the two day Blugold Invite tied for third place of eleven teams shooting 363 and 346 (709).  Chelsea Davis (Greendale/Greendale) lead the Warhawk team shooting 87 and 77 (164), good for third of 57 golfers.  The invite took place at the par 73 Wild Ridge Golf Course in Eau Claire.

The second day score of 77 by Davis is good for a tie at third this season in the Warhawk season record book along with her two day combined score of 164 tied at seventh for the best 36-hole total by a Warhawk this season.  Davis' third place individual finish was followed by Diana Schmidt (Mukwonago/Mukwonago) who tied at 18th place with a two-day score of 179, Melanie Helgeson (St. Charles, IL/North) at 22nd with 181, Emily Kuiper (Racine/Case) at 26th with 185, and Lindsay Porter (Verona/Madison Memorial) at 32nd with 191.

UW-Eau Claire showed strength, claiming four of the top ten individual scores.  Jessica Urban of UW-Stevens Point won the event going 80-78 - 158.  The only event remaining for the Warhawks this season is the National Collegiate Athletics Association Division III tournament held on May 11.
