Ty Evans: Men's Basketball, 1992-1994.
Ty was a two time All-American, a member of the 1994 Wisconsin State University Conference championship team and was named WSUC Conference Player of the Year along with team MVP for the 1993-94 season. He played high school basketball in Beloit, Wisconsin and now resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he is the assistant women's basketball coach at the University of Alabama.
Kris Hanson: Baseball, 1992-1993.
A Division III All-American in 1992, named All-District in 1992 and 1993 and All-WSUC in 1992 and 1993, Hanson was the UW-W Pitcher of the Year in 1992 and 1993. Kris holds six different pitching records at UW-W and in 1993 was drafted by the Cleveland Indians and played four-plus seasons in the Indians’ minor league system. He played high school baseball at Stevens Point Area Senior High and now resides in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
Rob Llorca: Wrestling, 1989-1992.
Rob's accomplishments include three time WSUC championships, a three time All-American, a two time NCAA III champion and a two time national tournament Most Oustanding Wrestler Award. Llorca went 72 consecutive matches without a loss to conclude his career. He wrestled as well as played football and baseball while attending Beloit Turner High School in Beloit, Wisconsin and now lives in South Beloit, Illinois.
Anthony Talton: Football, Men's Track and Field, 1988-1991.
Anthony received All-American honors in the 4X400 relay in 1990 and was also named an All-American in football in 1991. He signed with the Green Bay Packers as a wide receiver in 1992. Anthony attended Turner High School in Beloit, Wisconsin and now resides in Romeoville, Illinois.
Becky Karls Eloe: Women's Track and Field, 1990-1993.
Becky was the 1993 NCAA III champion in the long jump, the first national champion for a UW-Whitewater woman in any sport. She was a College Sports Information Director of America Second Team Academic All-American in 1993. Becky earned outdoor All-America honors four times and was a four-time women's WIAC track and field champion. She now lives in Naperville, Illinois.
Cyndee Madsen Kelsey: Softball, 1984-1987.
Cyndee was a four year starter, earned all conference honors in 1986, and in 1987 was named the NCAA III Regional Offensive Player. She helped UW-W win the WIAC championship in 1986. She was part of the most successful run in Warhawk softball history, helping the team to NCAA III tournament appearances all four years, finishing fourth (1984), third (1985), second (1986) and second (1986). She graduated from UW-Whitewater in 1988 and now resides in Madison, Wisconsin.
Mary Jaskolski Kilar: Volleyball and Women's Basketball, 1990-1994.
Mary's Warhawk career included All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete honors in 1992 as well being named American Volleyball Coaches Association Second Team All-American. In 1993, as part of a WIAC championship team, she was named AVCA First Team All-American. She helped UW-W earn NCAA III tournament berths in ’93 and ’94. Mary attended high school at St. Mary's Academy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and today lives in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
Denise Cobb Mueller: Volleyball, 1990-1993.
Denise’s resume includes team captain in 1993, a three time team MVP, a four-time All- WIAC performer, and a four-time NCAA III All-Region honoree. She earned AVCA First Team All-American recognition in 1992 and in 1993, helping UW-W earn NCAA III tournament berths. Denise added CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-America recognition in 1993. Denise attended Whitewater High School and now lives in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
Coach Kris Russell: Head Women's Volleyball Coach, 1981-2004.
Kris was UW-W's head coach for 24 years, compiling an 815-231 (.779 winning percentage) overall record while leading the Warhawks to fifteen NCAA III tournament appearances. She was named the WIAC Volleyball Coach of the Year seven times, the Central Region coach of the year five times and the AVCA Division III National Coach of the Year four times. During her term at UW-Whitewater her teams won eight WIAC championships. UW-W won the NCAA III championship in 2002 after finishing second in the tournament in 2000 and 2001.
John Rabe: Distinguished Service Award.
For forty years John served as a professor in the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Coaching, including nine years as department chair. He helped start the sports of wrestling and men’s gymnastics at UW-W, and also served as an assistant football coach. He was on the Intercollegiate Athletic Committee for six years. John is a member of all the booster clubs and financially supports all teams. He has been a volunteer for years on the table for basketball and also a timer for cross country and track.
