Fifth Again for the Warhawks in NWCA Poll

Whitewater is ranked fifth yet again and has been ranked fifth since the January 6 Brute-Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III poll. The poll was released on February 10 along with the individual rankings.
Since the last ranking, Whitewater competed in the Pete Wilson Invite in Wheaton, Illinois on January 30-31 and placed fourth of 31 teams. On February 4, the Warhawks hosted UW-Stevens Point and ended the meet tied at 20-20. Two days later, Whitewater hosted Lawrence University and defeated them 54-3 and the next day traveled to Eau Claire for the Blugold invite and placed seventh of eleven teams.
Austin Bautista again tops the 141 individual ranking with a 31-1 record. Pat Nagel is ranked ninth in the 165 pound weight class with an overall record of 25-6. Karl Voeck is ranked third again with a 33-4 record and rounding out the Whitewater wrestlers in sixth in the 285 weight class is Jon Schmidt (18-4).
The next meet for the Warhawks will be Friday, February 13 at UW-Platteville with an 8:00 pm start time.
