Andy Hanney (Grafton/Grafton) led UW-W swimmers at the Wheaton Invitational Friday-Saturday, December 4-5 in Wheaton, Illinois.

Hanney had the top finish in an individual event, placing sixth in the backstroke in 54.60. He also contributed to Whitewater's best showing in a relay. He combined with
Landon Joiner (Hinsdale, IL /South),
Adam Altenburg (Watertown/Watertown) and
Bill Stenavich (Brookfield/Central) for a 3:17.50 in the 400 freestyle relay. That foursome finiished eighth.
UW-W will take a break for semester exams and the holidays, returning to competition to host UW-Stevens Point and UW-Oshkosh January 16 at 100 in the Wiliiams Center pool.
