Women's Swimming Defeats Lawrence

The Warhawks women's swimming and diving team defeated Lawrence University at UW-Whitewater Saturday, November 7, 131-62. The Warhawks took first place in every event except the women's 1 meter dive.

Kaylyn Howley and Megan Kohnke led the Warhawks with two wins each. Howley took first place in the 200 yard freestyle (2:02.75) and the 200 yard backstroke (56.14). Kohnke took first place in the 50 yard freestyle (26.14) and 100 yard freestyle (56.14).
Howley, Kristen Jahn, Courtney Jenkins and Lisa Dlugopolski improved their teams previous season best in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:57.17. Megan Roegner took first place in the 500 yard backstroke with a time of 5:40.45 , also a team best this season.
The next women's meet will be held Saturday, November 14 at Luther College. Whitewater will host their next home meet Saturday, January 16 against UW-Stevens Point at 1:00 pm.
