Women's Swimming Defeats Lawrence

The Warhawks women's swimming and diving team defeated Lawrence University at UW-Whitewater Saturday, November 7, 131-62. The Warhawks took first place in every event except the women's 1 meter dive.

Kaylyn Howley (Sheboygan/Sheboygan South) and Megan Kohnke (Milwaukee/Riverside) led the Warhawks with two wins each. Howley took first place in the 200 yard freestyle (2:02.75) and the 200 yard backstroke (56.14). Kohnke took first place in the 50 yard freestyle (26.14) and 100 yard freestyle (56.14). 

Howley, Kristen Jahn (Wonderlake, IL/McHenry), Courtney Jenkins (Gurnee, IL/Gunee) and Lisa Dlugopolski (Mequon/Homestead) improved their teams previous season best in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:57.17. Megan Roegner (Beloit/Memorial) took first place in the 500 yard backstroke with a time of 5:40.45 , also a team best this season.

The next women's meet will be held Saturday, November 14 at Luther College. Whitewater will host their next home meet Saturday, January 16 against UW-Stevens Point at 1:00 pm.
