Men's Cross Country Ranked 20th in the Nation
Men's Cross Country Ranked 20th in Nation
Coming off of a strong fourth place finish at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship, the UW-W men's cross country team found themselves ranked 20th in the nation according to the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll. UW-W moved up five spots from last week passing up WIAC rival UW-Oshkosh.

UW-W is also ranked sixth in the latest Midwest Regional poll.  The men's next competition will take place on November 14th in Winneconne, WI. UW-Oshkosh will be hosting the Midwest Regional Meet at the Lake Breeze Golf Course with the women's race at 11:00 and the men's race to follow at 12:00.

Qualifing procedures for the NCAA National meet are as follows:

There are 8 regionals
Top 2 teams from each region automatically qualify
16 more teams qualify on at large bids for a total of 32 teams at the national meet
A maximum of five teams from each region may qualify
The top seven individuals in each region not on nationally qualifying teams qualify
