Warhawks Driving Force Behind One World Running

On October 31, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference collected shoes to aid the mission of One World Running during the WIAC Cross Country Championships which were hosted by UW-Whitewater.

Turns out that UW-Whitewater was the driving force behind the conference's participation in this event. Warhawks' men's and women's cross country first participated in the One World Running program last spring, where the UW-Whitewater Student Athlete Advisory Council collected 220 pairs of shoes.

This year, all nine schools from the WIAC joined forces to aid the One World Running program. Shoes that were collected during the WIAC Cross Country Championships drive have been boxed up and will be shipped to Haiti.
