The UW-Whitewater Wrestling team is ranked nineteenth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association pre-season poll.  Three Warhawk players are ranked individually.  Max Oldenburg (Burbank, IL/Reavis) is ranked ninth in the 125 lbs. weight class.  Austin Bautista (Des Plaines, IL/Maine East) is ranked second in the 141 lbs. weight class.  Jon Schmidt (Menomonee Falls/Hartford) is ranked ninth in the 285 lbs. weight class.  The team finished last year with a 12-4-1 record.

Whitewater will open their season at home against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on November 18th.
